Process to Track Civic Garden Volunteer Hours
The SPGC’s By-law regarding Civic Garden Volunteer Hours:
Active members must elect to:
volunteer a minimum of eight (8) hours per year, or contribute a non-tax deductible
monetary Contribution to the SPGC’s Civic Planting Committee, or any combination thereof.
The Contribution amount will be determined by the Club Board of Directors.
Members will email: SPGChours@gmail.com, CC to the Garden Team Leader*, Subject: SPGC Civic Garden Hours
Please include: Your Name, Garden Name, Number of Hours Worked, Date Worked
The information will be added to an Excel spread sheet. At the end of each fiscal year, volunteer hour tallies will be emailed to the Member and the data will be evaluated. Please record and report your volunteer hours, starting June 1, 2023. If unsure of your exact work dates in June, July and August, 2023, just report the month, garden and number of hours worked. Include the date for future hours. If an active Member does not fulfill the membership requirement, the Contribution is required. As of August, 2023, this is being discussed by the Board.
*Garden Team Leaders are also listed on the SPGC’s Signup Genius Civic Garden page.
