Speaker Donna Katsuranis “By the Light of the Moon”

We close out our year of Lunar inspired design themes with Donna Katsuranis, who says, “The rhythms of the Moon are strong and steady, and the rhythms of the Earth follow unfailingly.” In this engaging talk, we will learn about several phases of Lunar gardening, from planting vegetables by the Moon’s phases to planting an ornamental Moon Garden, to the effect of the Moon on the Earth and its inhabitants. This talk – held at the time of the New Moon – will give insight from a Scientific and Artistic perspective as well as a Spiritual and Historic perspective. Come learn about our nearest neighbor, and her remarkable influence over life on Earth.

Donna Katsuranis is an Advanced Master Gardener and an Interfaith Minister who lives and gardens in Brookfield, CT. She has lectured for myriad Garden Clubs and taught numerous Advance Master Gardener classes in the Northeast. Her aim is to educate people about the wonders of nature, one gardener at a time.
